April 23, 1775: J.M.W. Turner is born.
[Turner] became known as ‘the painter of light’, because of his increasing interest in brilliant colours as the main constituent in his landscapes and seascapes.
The top painting (“Rain, Steam and Speed”) is hanging on the wall of Paul’s bedroom in Knife.
The biggest hung over the bureau: a swirling storm of gold, ochre and blue with a dark shape moving through it.
