The father of one of my young readers found this list on his coffee table tonight. He photographed it and sent it to me with the note “Apparently Sarah is really enjoying your last book.” In all the scramble of deadlines and rewrites and copyedits and promotion, it’s sometimes easy for writers to forget why we do this. Until we get something like this from a reader, and everything falls into perspective again.
